👀 The 2024 Data Privacy Report’

On March 12, Aleo — a privacy preserving blockchain platform — published its 2024 Data Privacy Report. The far-reaching report queried over 2,200 adults to gauge the state and future of privacy technology adoption. The report covers public perception about privacy, the challenges and opportunities of bringing the ZK solution to market, and an outlook on future adoption.

Some tidbits from the report include: 67% of individuals would switch to a technology that focused on protecting data, 57% would consider switching apps or products that explicitly shared or sold data to a foreign adversarial government, and 77% of people are somewhat or very concerned about data privacy in their everyday lives.

📰 ZK in the news

🧵 ZK in the Twitterverse

🏅 It’s official – zkPass is now the private data oracle for CyberConnect's L2 chain! The team is building a groundbreaking social decentralized identity layer (DID), empowering users to safely tap into private internet data via our state-of-the-art zkTLS oracle.

💸 Big money moves –  Lagrange announced a $500M ETH restaking commitment from ether.fi to secure Lagrange’s Parallel ZK Coprocessor. With this, Lagrange is now the first coprocessor on Eigenlayer and the first ZK AVS to receive a retaking commitment.

🌐An internet worth trusting? Mina Protocol introduces “httpz” – a "proof layer" on top of “https” that lets you verify the source and validity of data or computation without trusting any authority. Their goal? A system in which users can trust the data directly, not just the access.
