After four years of development, Aleo is close to launching its mainnet, which will bring privacy to crypto by using zero-knowledge proofs at the core blockchain level. Aleo’s privacy-centric approach aims to enable private transactions and smart contract interactions, with a broader goal of integrating this technology into the fabric of the internet.
Starknet has initiated test transactions from the Ethereum mainnet. These transactions are part of an on-chain test for the Ethereum-based ZK scaling solution, with an eye towards the launch of STRK in Q2 2024.
Ingonyama, a zero knowledge startup, has raised $21MM in seed funding. Led by Geometry, Walen Catalyst Ventures, and IOSG Ventures, the raise will support Ingonyama’s development of open source libraries for ZK proof acceleration, along with its long term goal of creating “ZK-focused semiconductors.”
Manta Network experienced a distributed-denial-of-service (DDoS) attack during the issuance of its MANTA token. The attack resulted in over 135 million requests hitting the network, resulting in longer transaction times, increased gas prices, and a drop in the token price.
Matter Labs and iCandy Games Limited have announced a collaboration to develop a ZKSync gaming and AI-focused hyperchain. The network, named ZKCandy, will leverage Matter Labs’ ZK stack framework to deploy gaming-specific hyperchains.
