We’ve just finished up at the Stanford Blockchain Conference where we held our kick-off for ZPrize 2023 with AMD. It was an awesome event that brought together leading minds in ZK as well as key stakeholders in the upcoming competition. We share more about it below.

🏆 ZPrize 2023 Kick-off at SBC

Earlier this week, we hosted our kick-off event for the ZPrize 2023 competition at the Stanford Blockchain Conference. The event, which was hosted in partnership with AMD, gathered the leading minds in ZK to discuss what it takes to accelerate ZK technology and applications.

It was also an opportunity for ZPrize 2023 competitors to meet the architects, sponsors, and other participants of the competition.

Aleo CEO, Alex Pruden, kicked off the event by giving an overview of the ZPrize competition and its humble beginnings as a discussion around a table at ETHDenver 2022.

Today, ZPrize is the leading ZK competition bringing together cryptography and hardware experts working on building the future of privacy. This year, as the second edition of the competition is about to kick off, ZPrize has over 89 registrations, 3 sponsors, 3 architects and an incredible steering committee.

Architects of the prizes for this year’s competition were also present at the event and provided more details on the categories and answered specific questions from the audience. If you’re interested in hearing their responses, the architects continued the conversations on Discord.

The audience was also able to hear about the improvements that AMD is bringing to the competition this year with their technology resources.

All in all, it was a fantastic event bringing together a tight knit group of ZK core developers, competitors, and academic focused individuals all passionate and working towards advancing ZK technology.

What’s next? 

​ZPrize 2023 will kick off on September 15th, 2023.

Registration for the competition is still open and will be accepted on a rolling basis. Competitors can only begin working on solutions once they receive the competitor package on September 15th. Register here.
